Declaration of performance (DoP)

On 4th april 2011 the Official Gazette of the European Union published the Regulation of building products N. 305/2011. This regulation replaces the Directive for Building products (CPD 89/106) and has the goal, among others, to improve the transparency related to the application of marketing-related rules and to the requirements of building products. The DoP (Declaration of Performance) is now compulsory for all EC branded products in compliance with this regulation. This is one of the most significant news of CPR: Starting from 1st July 2013 the manufacturing companies or dealers are obliged to supply the customers the DoPs, where they must declare the performances of the product related to essential requirements prescribed by the reference European technical rule harmonised for the related application.
